To be honest it would depend on the situation. I was 17 when I dropped out of my high school, but it was because I found out that my high school diploma was not SACS credited it was not accredited at all really and for all my work and effort for all 12 years I was just going to get a piece of paper that said congratulations you completed 12 years of school a useless pieces of paper so ether way I would be where I am today. I saw no since in doing more or should I say extra work for nothing. I tried to get a GED but again going back to my schooling that failed me I couldn't pass it because I was never taught the things I needed to no to pass, and there are many more situations that I would except for dropping out. But just the same there are many excuses that are not exceptable, I think that we as adults and parents need to stop making it easy on the children that do drop out to just sit at home and do nothing though. and we also need to know when to step up for our children when our schools start failing our children.
