Hi, sorry to bother you but I can't seem to understand the answer for question 2 after I got it marked as incorrect. I checked all the options as mentioned on page 190.

The question asks which is true about sense receptors a states: chemicals light and pressure convert stimuli into electrical impulses. This is incorrect as an answer as the textbook states sense receptors convert the energy of the stimulus into electrical impulses.

b states electrical impulses within the nerve pathways trigger an awareness of stimuli in the sensory receptors. this cannot be correct as the text states that the sense receptors convert the energy of the stimulus into electrical impulses that travel along nerves to the brain

c states that sensory receptors are located in the body's command center in the brain while the text states that sensory receptors are located in the sense organs i.e skin nose eyes tongue and they are like military scouts transmitting what they learn to neurons in the peripheral system. The neurons are in the central nervous system while the sensory receptors are in the sense organs.

Please let me know what I missed or what I don't understand. i don't see an answwer in a, b, or c.
