I was able to finish my degree in Early Childhood Education at the end of October. I was just recently hired by local schools to be a substitue teacher. I always wanted to be a substitute vs. being a teacher designated to teach certain grades or subjects. The reason I wanted to be a substitute is that I can sub at full time; have the experience working with different schools; work with different age groups; not have to create lesson plans; and make a descent income. Ashworth helped me achieve my goal 2 and a half years earlier in comparison to my last school I transfered from. I also found out that with my degree, if I were to pass a certain exam in my home state, I can go into teaching designated subjects (of course I am not interested in that right now). On another note, I am really excited with the fact that I now qualify to teach at a career & technical school, since I now obtain my degree. I can't thank Ashworth enough for helping me reach this goal quicker than I imagined. I will keep referring people so they can enjoy the same experience I did.
