I read the example by Tonia Ashworth and the responses that followed. This simple example of an outline was all that was needed in the first place.My problem is since the proper instructions, examples and teaching were absent beforehand, the preposterous policy which grants a 60 - 65, after making students figure out on their own, what the instructor wanted, makes me wonder what I'm paying for. Giving a 60 for a re-submitted assignment is not indicative of what the student learned and in no way prevents students from arbitrarily failing an assignment. In my opinion if the the material was learned then the proper grade should be given. It seems easy for the instructor to hand out zero's to students whom they haven't taught. This is what is difficult with distance learning. Everything else aside, it's good to be back in school.
