SOBryant,
We understand your frustration; however, if you would be so kind as to remain calm, it would actually help you to understand what is being verbalized. Let me qualify regarding contacting the instructors. The instructors are not available for you to speak directly to via phone. At no time does Ashworth promise that you will have DIRECT contact with an instructor. The orientation courses do not have instructors as they are orientation courses. Any questions that you may have MUST come through the academic advisors as we are the liasons for the orientation courses.
This portion of what you just copied in the above post: Each course syllabus provides information on contacting your faculty and the Academic Advisor support team.
As you have been told via student handbook that the instructors' information is available in the course syllabus. If there is no information, then there is no instructor and you will have to defer to the academic advisors. We, academic advisors, are a part of the support team. The support team is your first point of contact in regards to any questions you may have regarding a certain assignment. The academic advisors are fully equipped to give you the understanding necessary for clarity in any assignment that you may have. You will not be given access to speak directly to your instructor; however, within your course workspace, you may leave a message in the textbox, if you would like to communicate anything to the grader of your assignments. You also have the option to inform the academic advisors as liasons to the instructors. We will do our very best to assist you. If it is something that we cannot answer, we will forward the information and advise you of the response.
Again, I understand your frustration, and if there is anything else we can do for you please let us know. If the information is not enough for you, I think it would be best for you to call us at 800-224-7234.
Have a great day and happy learning!
