I just started today with the Bachelor of Psychology Program. I am enrolled as well with Penn Foster but due to not receiving the education I thought I would get and also realizing that medical coding/billing is not for me, I decided I will be dropping out from Penn foster and transferring my credits here to see if any of them will be anything. For the past month I have been trying to figure out why I had such issues with medical coding and billing and I finally figured out that it just did not catch my interest and it wasn't for me. After some serious thought (that lasted for a month straight) I finally realized what I should be working towards and that is a degree is Psychology. I decided to say no more trying to get career diplomas and actually start putting myself to work with a decent degree. My future plans are hoping to continue my education after Ashworth and going towards Forensic Psychology. I am still deciding on which of the careers I am looking at however, the ones that peak my interest do require a psychology degree. I am hoping to gain a better learning experience here than what I previously experienced. As far as I can see there is alot more promise to communication with staff/faculty here than there was where I was at.
I live in an apartment right now with my husband and 2 year old son. We both work warehouse jobs and its a love/hate relationship where I work. I can't complain too much though because my job as an expeditor for the company I work at helped me come to the realization of what I actually want to do. A-lot of the times when things are a huge cluster and people start becoming agitated and hateful, I try to figure them out and make the day go by easier for them by being completely random and throwing out "what ifs". I also love to spend time trying to figure out what is going on in my son's little noggin.
I am hoping to be able to finally get a grasp with schooling and start pursuing what I feel I should be doing After being a drop out twice and knowing there are other things out there besides medical administration, I think this one could be the one!
