I agree with you on this. Everyone learns differently what might work for one person does not always work for another person. Teachers need to understand that and incorporate different teaching styles to help their students. Also it is always best for students to figure out how they learn the best that way they can better understand the material they are learning and be better students. I discovered I learn best by reading and taking notes and that I lose alot of information when I have to sit in a class and listen to some talk about the subject it just makes me zone out and lose insterest. My son learns best by giving him examples or showing him first and then having him do it or by making up a song with the information in it. Also due to his OCD he handles learning and everyday life better with a routine. So I set up a strict routine for the house to follow which has help alot with school and at home. Also I found that he is more interested in doing his homework when I am working on mine so I try to do my note taking and reading when it is time to do his homework. Also the school he goes to is great. They have a routine set up for him as well which helps him focus better.
