You will like this course very much. It is a great course to learn the Heating and Air Conditioning trade and is designed for the student to learn at their own pace. I strongly encourage you to read everything in each lesson carefully. If there is anything that you do not understand completely, then re-read that particular part. If you still do not understand it completely then ask me, your instructor and I will be happy to assist you.
Everyone has their own method of studying, therefore you get out of the course what you put into it when you apply yourself. HVAC is a great trade and I have been working in it for a long time, I like what I do and usually have fun on the job. When you begin working in the field it will reinforce what you learn here at Ashworth.
EPA certification is very important in our trade and is a requirement for most employers. When you finish the course, you will be given a 12 page study guide and a $75 voucher to take the EPA 608 test. Study the guide and you should pass the test with no problem. Once you understand Air Conditioning Systems and how they work, the test should be easy. When you get to chapter 13 you will find a lot of information that is on the EPA 608 test.
